Air Cut Off Valve. This air cut-off valve assembly works in the carburetor deceleration circuit to control air flow during throttle closing.
Replace a hardened diaphragm, damaged cover or leaking valve parts when decel popping or poor return-to-idle is traced to the carburetor circuit.
Inspect passages, spring placement and cover sealing before reassembly.
During top-end service, check seat contact, stem-to-guide clearance and keeper-groove condition before final assembly.
